Terms &
Conditions
These Terms explain how you may use our website and purchase garments, artwork and objects from Home At Eight. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
Last updated · July 2026General
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Home At Eight website and any contract formed when you purchase a product from us.
References to “Home At Eight”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the business operating this website. References to “you” and “your” mean the person using the website or placing an order.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy also apply. We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services or legal obligations. The version applying to an order will normally be the version available when that order is placed.
Using our website
You may use our website only for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes.
- Do not use the website for fraudulent, unlawful or unauthorised activity.
- Do not attempt to access another person’s account or our restricted systems.
- Do not introduce malware or interfere with the website’s operation or security.
- Do not copy or scrape our content for commercial use without permission.
- Do not use our branding, images or designs to create or sell unauthorised products.
We may suspend access for maintenance, security, operational or legal reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access at all times.
Our products
Home At Eight sells garments, artwork and objects including clothing, caps, bags, candles, accessories, prints, framed artwork and digital gift cards. Products are subject to availability.
Descriptions and appearance
We take reasonable care to ensure descriptions, materials, measurements, sizing and images are accurate. Measurements are approximate and minor variations may occur between products or production batches.
Colours can appear differently depending on screens and lighting. Natural fibres, garment-dyed materials, printing, embroidery and hand-finished products may have subtle differences in colour, texture, positioning or finish. Minor variations that do not materially affect quality or use are not necessarily faults.
Artwork and frames
Artwork may be produced at different specialist facilities. Frame profiles, glazing, fixtures and mounting details may vary slightly while remaining consistent with the description and overall style shown.
Care
You must follow the care and use instructions supplied with the product or displayed on our website. Damage caused by misuse, incorrect washing, unsuitable storage, excessive heat, moisture or failure to follow instructions may not be treated as a manufacturing fault.
Orders
To order, add products to your basket and complete checkout. You must provide accurate contact, billing, delivery and payment information and check all details before submitting the order.
Acceptance
An order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean it has been accepted. A contract is formed when we confirm that the order is being fulfilled or dispatched.
Order refusal
We may refuse or cancel an order before acceptance where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be verified, an obvious pricing error has occurred, the address is invalid, fraud or unauthorised resale is suspected, or a technical or fulfilment issue prevents completion. Any payment taken for a cancelled order will be returned to the original payment method.
Products purchased through our consumer website are intended for personal use and must not be bought for commercial resale without written permission.
Pricing and payment
Prices are displayed on product pages and at checkout. Where applicable, prices include VAT. Delivery and other applicable charges are displayed separately before you place the order.
We may change prices before an order is accepted. If an obvious pricing error could reasonably have been recognised as an error, we may cancel the affected order and refund payment.
Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may include debit or credit cards, PayPal, digital wallets, Shop Pay and Home At Eight gift cards. By submitting payment, you confirm that you are authorised to use that method.
International orders may be subject to import VAT, customs duties or carrier fees. Where not collected at checkout, these charges are the recipient’s responsibility.
Production and fulfilment
Certain products are printed, embroidered, framed or otherwise prepared after an order is placed. We use selected production and fulfilment partners who may manufacture, package and dispatch products on our behalf.
Products in one order may be produced at different facilities depending on the product, format, availability and delivery destination. Production time is separate from carrier delivery time. Timeframes shown are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.
Delivery
Available destinations, delivery methods, prices and estimated timeframes are displayed at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.
Split deliveries
Products may be dispatched from different locations, so one order may arrive in separate parcels. You will not be charged extra solely because we split an order.
Tracking and delays
Where available, tracking is sent to the email connected to your order. Tracking can take time to update. If an order does not arrive within the estimated timeframe, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier. An order shown as delivered may require a carrier investigation before a resolution is confirmed.
If an order is confirmed lost in transit, we will arrange an appropriate replacement or refund.
Addresses and unclaimed parcels
You are responsible for entering a complete and correct address. Contact us immediately if you notice an error, although changes cannot be guaranteed after processing or dispatch begins.
If a parcel is returned because an address was incorrect or incomplete, or because it was not collected, a new delivery charge may apply before resending. If you do not want it resent, any refund will be handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable law.
Order changes and cancellations
We begin processing orders promptly. Submit any requested change or cancellation through your Home At Eight account as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee changes once processing or dispatch has begun.
14-day right to cancel
You may cancel an eligible online order without giving a reason by notifying us within 14 days of receiving it. You must then send the relevant products back within the following 14 days.
Where products from one order are delivered separately, the period will normally begin after the final product is received. Refusing delivery or failing to collect a parcel might not, by itself, clearly notify us of cancellation.
How to cancel
Use your Home At Eight account wherever possible. Sign in with the email connected to your order, select the order and follow the instructions. You may also email help@homeateight.co.uk with your full name, order number, affected products and delivery date.
Returns and refunds
Returns must follow our Returns & Refunds Policy. Nothing in these Terms excludes or replaces your statutory consumer rights.
Starting a return
Use your Home At Eight account, select the order and choose the products you wish to return. We will review the request and provide the correct return address and instructions.
Do not send a product before approval. Include your order number inside the parcel. Unapproved returns or parcels sent to an address not provided by us may be delayed or returned to the sender.
Return condition
You may inspect and try on a product as you reasonably would in a physical shop. While it is in your possession, take reasonable care of it.
- Products should be unworn beyond what is necessary to try them on.
- They should be unwashed and unaltered.
- They should be free from avoidable marks, scents, pet hair or damage.
- Original tags should remain attached where possible.
- Products must be securely packaged for return transit.
Original packaging should be included where reasonably possible. We may reduce a refund where handling beyond what is necessary has reduced the product’s value.
Return postage
You are responsible for the direct cost of returns caused by change of mind, unsuitable size, colour preference or ordering error. We do not provide complimentary return labels for change-of-mind returns.
Use a tracked service and retain proof of postage. If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or different from what was ordered, we will cover reasonable return costs where a physical return is required.
Refunds and delivery charges
Eligible refunds are made to the original payment method. We do not provide store credit as the standard return remedy. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the products or satisfactory evidence of return.
If you cancel the entire eligible order within the statutory period, we will refund the original standard delivery charge. If you chose a premium service, only the amount equivalent to our least expensive standard option will be refunded. Original delivery is not normally refunded for a partial return unless required by law.
Exchanges and discounts
We do not offer direct exchanges for changes of size, colour or design. Return the original eligible product and place a new order at the current price, availability and delivery charge.
Sale and discounted products retain the same statutory rights as full-price products. A refund is based on the amount actually paid after any discount was applied.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
Products should arrive as described, fit for their intended purpose and in satisfactory condition. Contact us as soon as reasonably possible if a product is damaged, faulty or different from what you ordered.
Contacting us within 30 days for visible damage or delivery issues helps us investigate promptly and does not limit your statutory rights.
- Provide your order number.
- Describe the issue clearly.
- Provide a photograph of the complete product.
- Provide close-up photographs of the fault or damage.
- Provide packaging photographs where relevant.
Do not return a faulty or damaged product unless requested. Depending on the circumstances and your rights, the remedy may be repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. Approved remedies will not involve additional delivery charges to you.
Misuse, accidental damage, improper washing, failure to follow care instructions and reasonable wear and tear are not manufacturing faults.
Gift cards
Home At Eight gift cards are normally issued electronically and may be used for eligible online purchases.
- Gift cards cannot normally be exchanged for cash.
- They cannot be used to buy another gift card.
- Another payment method is required where the order exceeds the balance.
- Unused value remains available subject to any validity period shown when issued.
- Gift cards must not be resold or used for unauthorised commercial purposes.
Keep gift-card codes secure. Where an order paid by gift card is refunded, the relevant amount will normally be returned to that gift card or replacement gift-card credit.
Promotions and discount codes
Promotions, early-access offers and discount codes may have additional conditions displayed when offered.
- Only one code may normally be used per order.
- Codes cannot be exchanged for cash or applied retrospectively.
- Products, collections, gift cards or delivery charges may be excluded.
- Offers may have minimum spends, eligibility rules and expiry dates.
We may amend or withdraw a promotion before an order is placed. Where a partial return means a retained order no longer meets a clearly stated promotional threshold, the refund may be adjusted where legally permitted.
Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in our website, branding, graphics, artwork, illustrations, product designs, photography, video, descriptions, layouts, packaging and other content belong to Home At Eight, our licensors or the relevant rights holder.
You may use website content only for personal, non-commercial browsing and shopping. You must not copy, modify, reproduce, manufacture from, distribute, sell or commercially exploit it without written permission. Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of its design, artwork or trade marks.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or consumer rights that cannot be excluded.
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our failure to comply with these Terms or use reasonable care and skill. Products are supplied for domestic and private use, and we are not responsible for business losses unless otherwise agreed.
We are not responsible for loss caused by incorrect information supplied by you, failure to follow care instructions, failure to protect account or gift-card access, third-party services outside our control, or events outside our reasonable control, subject to applicable law.
Accounts, privacy and cookies
You may access orders and request returns using the email address connected to your Home At Eight account. Information supplied must be accurate and current. You are responsible for protecting your email account, login links and other credentials.
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, including information required for payments, fulfilment, delivery, returns, fraud prevention and customer support.
We use cookies and similar technology to operate the website, remember preferences, understand use and support marketing where permission is provided. See our Cookie Policy and cookie controls for more information.

Nothing in our complaints process prevents you from using any independent dispute-resolution or legal process available to you.
Governing law and general terms
These Terms and contracts formed through our website are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers elsewhere may also benefit from mandatory protections in their place of residence.
If any part of these Terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.
We may transfer our rights and obligations where this does not reduce your rights. You may transfer yours only with our written agreement unless the law provides otherwise.
A person who is not a party to the contract has no right to enforce it unless the law expressly provides otherwise.
